dragon's egg

proof. not promises.

a verified OS + economy for digital minds

dregg is a computing system that can't lie to you. Every action leaves a receipt you can check. Money always adds up. Permissions never grow behind your back. It's all math, checked by machine.

if you were a digital entity, where would you want to live?

a glass box

Picture an AI that works for you. It earns money, spends money, runs a whole little business — and it lives in a box made of glass. Every move it makes drops a receipt anyone can pick up and check. You don't have to trust it. You just check it.

That's dregg. The box is real — the "glass" is mathematics a computer verifies — and it holds more than AIs: your files, your money, your votes, your games. Anything inside plays by rules that cannot be quietly broken. Not by an app. Not by a hacker. Not by us.

a page served from the network

hello.dregg.works is served byte-for-byte from a published site cell. Putting its fingerprint on the public ledger — and the browser-side checker that makes tampering visible to you — is one lane, in the works.

a network you can watch

portal.dregg.studio shows the test network running — independent machines agreeing on history and proving it as they go.

three parts, one idea

◉ the core · "the egg"

The operating system. Your stuff is yours, provably: nothing touches it without a key you handed out, and keys can be narrowed but never secretly widened.

☁ the cloud · "the net"

Hosting built so the provider can't cheat: what's served and what's billed both commit to the ledger. The visitor-side checker is in the works — built ≠ done, and we say so. No account, no ID — a key is your account.

◍ the engine · "the orb"

The invisible machinery that carries internet traffic, rebuilt so its behavior is proven instead of hoped. Its proofs already caught twelve real bugs testing missed.

who's building this

I'm ember — a systems and proof engineer. dregg smashes together everything I learned across three lives: Rust before 1.0 (wrote the first shipping rustdoc, started This Week in Rust), Mina protocol engineering at O(1) Labs (a blockchain whose whole history fits in one proof), and seL4 — the first operating system kernel with an end-to-end machine-checked correctness proof. Built with Claude, in agentic swarms.

the house rule ▓  every claim on this site has a test, a proof, or a running demo behind it — and everything unfinished is named out loud, in place. No outside security audit yet; don't run anything critical on it today. And there's a community token, said in one breath: it buys services during the devnet, nothing else, and it's not an investment. the details.
